GFP Day 19 - Spicy Italian Sausage and Angel Hair

Discussion at our house about 3 o'clock.

John: What do you want for dinner?

Me: I don't know. What do YOU want?

John: I don't care. You pick.

Me: How about some pasta?

John: We've had pasta twice this week

Me: (Pouty face)

John: I guess we could use that sausage we got.

We got this sausage on our first trip to a new grocery store. It was a $1.99 a pound. With our $1 pasta and store marinara, it is also budget friendly.

John cooked up the sausage in a little olive oil.  This was Fresh Thyme's spicy Chicago Italian sausage.

He also made some garlic bread with the last of our little rolls and a Tuscan garlic spread.

Then he removed the sausage and warmed up the sauce in those good juices. I added some chopped garlic to the sauce.

John added a little Italian seasoning to perk it up. We get it at an Italian grocery store, a cup of it is less than the cost of a little bottle at the grocery store, and stays good a long time.

Then the angel hair goes right in the pasta.

Then it gets stirred up to coat all the pasta.

Added the sausage and Parmesan cheese.

We cut up the sausage so it would be easier to eat while watching the Amazing Race finale.

A little pasta and bread and exciting television. A good night.
